Harvesting the salt is a totally natural cottage industry where the only ingredients are the sea, the sun, and man. Citrus Moon's organic gray sea salt from the Isle of Noirmoutier undergoes no treatment after harvesting. Neither washed nor refined, this salt retains the essential nutrients that are vital to the human body. Salt farmers follow strict harvesting rules as prescribed in ABF specifications (Agriculture Biologique Française (ABL) - French Organic Farming). This salt carries the ABL seal of approval.
