Shea Butter is derived from the nuts of the Karite tree found in central Africa. The nuts are harvested, cleaned, crushed, roasted, and then pressed to expel the oil from which the butter is made. Shea Butter is not only a moisturizer, but an emollient as well. An emollient is something that is known to "soften" the skin.
This lotion is paraben-free.
