Fractionated Coconut Oil is one of the best moisturizing oils and is often used in lotions, creams for the body and face, and massage oils. It is colorless, odorless and quickly absorbed by the skin and provides superior moisturization. It is known as Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride or Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT) because it is primarily the medium-chain triglycerides, Caprylic and Capric Acid, which are left in the oil after fractionating (long-chain triglycerides are removed).

Fractionated Coconut Oil is produced by the hydrolysis of pure coconut oil. It is fractionated by steam distillation to isolate the medium-chain triglycerides. Fractionated Coconut Oil remains liquid at much cooler temperatures than traditional coconut oil and is also much more tolerant to higher temperatures during manufacturing processes. Coconut Oil which has not been fractionated becomes solid at temperatures below 76 degrees Fahrenheit.

Fractionated Coconut Oil has an indefinite shelf life and is light, non-greasy, and non-staining. It can be easily washed from towels and sheets thus making it an excellent ingredient in massage oil.
